L4Q has news!
For annual paid or Founding Plan subscribers, it's now easier than ever to find the good stuff
Dear Friends,
Hello August! Before summer recedes, L4Q is rolling out a new Substack feature, Perks, for annual and Founding Plan subscribers.
There’s a Perk for monthly subscribers, too.
Perks give you access to curated lists of articles and comments on Notes. Perks save you time and the hassle of finding that “great one” you meant to keep.
Perks for annual and Founding Plan subscribers:
“Best of” articles from the L4Q archives. Now you don’t have to hunt around for pieces you might have missed.
Categories of great interest to L4Q readers, such as downsizing/moving and the question of continuous care retirement living, group articles under a single heading. These articles will be noted as behind the paywall, and as a result, the comments section will become a more private conversation.
Perks for all paid subscribers (monthly, annual, Founding):
When L4Q publishes a series of Notes on a topic, such as Thoughts on Moving, the comments are restricted to paid subscribers. Regardless of paid level, all paid subscribers will have access to comment. There is so much good stuff contributed by readers…
More Perks are on the drawing board for a Fall/early Winter launch. Look for PDFs of select articles (possibly an on-demand PDF of your choice), and additional Categories including Substack Lives and podcasts.
Also on the drawing board is an uptick in monthly, annual, and Foundation Plan pricing, but please know that your current rate will be grandfathered (or, more appropriately, “grandmothered”) forever.
If you are currently a paid subscriber at any level, you have access to the Perks benefits described above, and no further action is required.
If you are a “free” subscriber and choose not to change status, please know you will receive most weekly posts, see Notes on the feed and comment on much, but not all, you see.
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all subscribers to L4Q. As we round the bend into August, total subscriptions are nudging 1200, for which I am profoundly grateful.
But it also tells me that L4Q has something important to say, and that you, dear readers, welcome the wisdom of living in the 4th quarter.
With that, thank you. And let me know in the comments what Perks you’d like to see.
xo,
