Thanks, Jane. Interesting that you keep a 'back catalogue', as it were. But delighted to have this post remembered as I was very pleased to write about something so important as friendship. My intention had been to write about making new friends, followed by old friends, but in the middle, I posted about my meetings with my 101 year old friend (I wanted something about age at that time), so I have done the subject quite thoroughly and am moving on to other things.
I thought this post not only touching, Ann, but so relatable. I’m sure some readers will nod in recognition of their own similar friendships and I’d bet others will be a bit chagrined that friends have drifted away over the years.
btw, we will see each other again (with luck) because her partner is fascinated by the Beatles and Liverpool and will come over to England in the spring to go to Liverpool and she will stay with us for two days. (She’s already done Liverpool once, with him, and said that was enough.) That’s the plan, anyway.
Thanks for pulling all of this together for us, Jane. Now, when will I get the time to read them all, in addition to the wonderful posts by writers I subscrive to? Blue💙
Some amazing names in that roundup, Jane -- thanks for curating!

Delighted to include you. Your work is truly going to change the future of aging.

I know! So much to cover but the good news is that on the whole it’s do much less depressing than the “real” news
